Take Action

LIFE, ANIMATED is a film with incredible possibilities that can be used to take action in many ways.

Owen's story is not only one that many living with or caring for a family member with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder can relate to, it is a powerful tool to foster greater community understanding of ASD and inspire positive action from policy makers, educators, employers, service providers and institutions here in Australia.

Buy the Book

Owen's dad Ron is a Pulitzer Prize winning author and journalist. The film is based on his autobiographical, best-selling book 'Life, Animated: A Story of Sidekicks, Heroes, and Autism'. The last chapter of the book is a story written by Owen himself that has been brought to life in animated sequences and interwoven into the film.

The book is available in select bookstores or via these online retailers: Readings, Booktopia, Fishpond, Mighty Ape

Contribute to the Autism Affinities Project

Since their story became public, the Suskind’s have heard from countless families about the affinities of their own children. This inspired them to create an online space where the affinities of others, and the intricate and restorative art those affinities often prompt, will become more visible.
